“Branding” in the field of literature is simply adding up your experience in your lifetime and zeroing in on your expertise. Look at your work experience of course, but also look at any volunteer work you do, your family dynamics, your education – both in formal and informal settings and of course your passion. When you write from this perspective – you do not ramble but zero in on subjects confidently.
As a personal shopper for fifteen years, my brand has been fashion. However my strong faith has given me a voice at different ladies groups to speak on fashion and faith. This journey has been a rich one of sharing and being taught simultaneously. But remember – when you speak from your heart – and your mind – your reader or listener will be captivated!
