My husband and I enjoy skiing, snowboarding, hiking, backpackig, biking, mountain biking, canyoneering, swimming, playing tennis, running, flying kites- okay, we just like to be outside.
I have a two year old son that is the cutest boy in the world, I am sorry that is just a fact.
I love chocolate and have made it a hobby. I blog about fine chocolate hoping to bring more information to that sector of the chocolate indutry.
Conversely I also provide information about cocolate slavery and advocate against it as human trafficking and forced labor is wrong. My dream is to make my own chocolate (ethically sourced) from bean to bar and share it with others. Thank you for listening, now I would love to meet you! Send me a note!

Do you have a regular guest spot (or spots) on any sites?
I post on parentsociety.com

How often are your guest blog posts published?
I have one per week on parentsociety.com, usually one more beyond that on another blog.
What do you look for when trying to find guest blogging opportunities?
Something I can write about, I don’t want to waste anyone’s time.
How do you decide whether or not an opportunity is right for you?
Is it a good fit for my brand? I have 3 premises regarding my blog and they are:
1- Promote fine chocolate
2- Educate the public about the existence of chocolate slavery
3- Create an community of chocolate. Chocolate has been such a large part of many cultures, including mine.
How much time do you spend each week looking for guest blogging opportunities?
2-4 hours.
Where do you get your inspiration for what to write about?
Everything. I carry a piece of paper with me at all times. Actually, now it is an iPad- graduation present!
What do you consider a “successful” guest blog post?
That the owner of the site is happy with what I wrote.
Bonus is if readers connect. I had a reader share a story of one of the breastfeeding posts that I wrote, that made it all worth it.
What is the ONE, biggest benefit you see from guest blogging?
Meeting new people.
What are some other benefits of guest blogging?
More traffic for everyone- share the love!
Were you surprised by any of these benefits? If so, how and why?
Not really, I could use a little more traffic though.
Have you made any notable mistakes as a guest blogger? What happened and what did you learn?
I don’t think so… if I have made a mistake, I hope someone tells me!
Do you have any tactics or strategies for a successful guest blog post that you’d share with someone trying it out for the first time?
