Guest blogging can be done by anyone at anytime—so, if you want to keep eyeballs on your words, you need to give the people reading these posts something useful and interesting. Many guest bloggers are simply there for the promotional value. For me, I’m always thinking about the future for my blogging footprint.
Quality information is my main focal point when I guest blog. If I’m constantly recycling information or put minimal effort into these posts, it will not bode well for me when the moderators of the website see lackadaisical work. Also, the visitors of that website will eventually pass up reading any of my content because of the bad reputation I will garner with my shoddy work.
When I say quality information, I’m talking about content that people will talk to their friends about or repost on their own blog or social media pages. When guest blogging, I do research, keep the writing upbeat and conversational, and proofread several times to create an atmosphere of high valued work.

We couldn’t agree more, Dahlia! When choosing which guest contributions to feature, the quality of the content is first on our list. We look for original, relevant, and generally non-controversial guest blogging articles for our websites.
