We have found through experience that filling a website with fresh content on a daily basis can become an overwhelming task. Simple tho it sounds, posting a new article to your website every day can become redundant, at best. Guest blogging has provided site owners with an opportunity to invite others to supply their expertise, giving them a break from writing and providing a fresh perspective to their website.
Where do you get guest blog posts? Virtual assistant, Janet Barclay, suggests using the relationships you develop through blogging to reach out to your readers!
Get Your Readers Involved
I make a point of building two-way relationships with my readers. Whenever someone leaves a comment on my blog or participates in my monthly Blog Carnival, I pay a visit to their blog and leave a comment for them as well. This not only strengthens the relationship, but gives me the opportunity to familiarize myself with their writing style and areas of expertise, so I can readily identify potential guest bloggers. When I contact them, I suggest a topic I’d like them to address, and most of the time, they’re happy to do so.
